Furniture and IKEA Assembly for Brampton Homes

Furniture assembly in Brampton is usually about volume. A Springdale or Castlemore house has more bedrooms than most, and when a family moves in there can be five beds, three dressers and a study to put together at the same time.

I batch that into one visit and work through it room by room, so the house is usable by the end of the day instead of after a week of evenings. Everything tall gets anchored, everything sits level, and the boxes go out flat.

Brampton's 2000s subdivisions were built with bedrooms for everybody, and the lower level is very often a separate suite, which changes the job twice over. The basement stair is long, straight and narrow with a door at the bottom, so a built bed frame or wardrobe will never make that turn and has to go down as loose panels. And furniture in a suite usually has to sit against a bulkhead or a duct chase rather than a clear flat wall, so the layout gets decided before anything is opened.

How It Runs

From Message to Finished Job

1
Tell me the pieces

Send the product names or a link for each item, plus how many of each. IKEA article numbers are ideal. That tells me the build time and whether a piece needs wall fixing or extra care getting it upright.

2
Boxes in the room

Have the flat packs in the room where the furniture is going, with a clear floor space beside them. Carrying a built wardrobe through a doorway rarely works, so the build happens where the piece will live.

3
Built, checked, anchored

Parts are laid out and counted first, then the carcass goes together and gets checked for square before the back panel is fixed. Doors and drawers are adjusted, feet levelled, and anything tall is strapped to the wall.

4
Packaging taken away

Boxes get flattened, foam and plastic bagged, and the lot leaves with me unless you want to keep it. Spare fittings are bagged and left with the instructions in case you move the piece later.

What Affects the Price in Brampton

Build time is what you are paying for, and that varies more than people expect. A bedside table is quick. A tall wardrobe run with sliding doors is a serious afternoon. The number of pieces, the size of each one, whether the boxes are already in the right room, and how much wall anchoring is needed all count. Disassembly for a move usually takes less time than the original build. Whatever the list, the price or hourly rate is settled before I open a box.

Nothing starts before the price is agreed. Send a photo or two with your request and I can usually quote without a site visit.

Asked in Brampton

Can you do the main house and the basement apartment on the same day?

Usually, as long as I know the full list beforehand. The two parts of the house work differently, so I plan the basement first while the stairs are still clear, then move upstairs. Give me the item names and the number of rooms and I will tell you honestly whether it is one visit or two before you book anything.
